An easy and quick read. Not as good as Gerritsen's later work. Quick summary: Whistleblower on the run from FBI rouge hunter, baddies are developing smallpox virus as WMD, whistleblower shot and knocked down by random woman in car, random woman wronged by men in the past, they go to hospital, people die, on the run again, take risks, get evidence to bring down baddies in FBI and DC, all ends well, random woman and whistleblower fall in love and escape in a taxi...
An easy and interesting read. The film was based on the 2nd chapter about Lynne's affair with an older man when she was at school. I enjoyed the chapters on her job in Penthouse, meeting her husband David and his untimely death. A lovely read I'd recommended.
One of the best books I've read for a very long time. Lisabeth Salander stays on your mind long after you've finished the book.
I loved the feminist slant. Larsson probably compensating for the fact that he watched his 15 year old friend, also called Lisabeth, being gang raped by 3 of his friends whilst he did nothing. It's so much easier for the author to be the hero 'Blomkvist' in fiction rather than stepping up to the challenge of real life.
I highly recommend this book.
A lovely book detailing the impact of factured families on all its members as they try to understand the changes and how they relate to each other.
